AGPT Accounting and Business Consultancy is a general professional partnership established on July 1, 2015, duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The firm was the realization of the vision of four Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), who were practicing their professions individually prior to the establishment of the firm, to bring accounting and taxation closer to Bicolano small and medium-sized business entrepreneurs. AGPT’s varied services focus on quality, cost-efficiency, value and customer satisfaction. These values are articulated in the firm’s tagline: “Making every business count”. Bookkeeping is the record-keeping aspect of accounting. It involves recording of financial transactions in the books of accounts based on the documents provided by the client. This service will provide the customer with the account balances that can be used for making business decisions and computation of taxes.


Accounting extends the services included in Bookkeeping by providing financial reports to clients on a regular basis or as needed. It includes a more detailed analysis and presentation of the financial data in report form to assist the management in dealing with more complicated business decisions.


Correct taxes are computed and entered in the applicable tax return. The forms are filed in accordance with the regulations and procedures issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. This service also includes preparation of attachments required to be submitted together with the tax return as prescribed by BIR.

Business Registration

This service assists clients register their business with the Department of Trade and Industry or Securities and Exchange Commission and secures their mayor’s permit from the business licensing office.

Management Consultancy

Management Consultancy helps businesses improve their financial and operational performance. This service includes design and/or review of accounting and payroll systems, internal control assessment and design, conduct of feasibility studies and implementation of continuous improvement programs.

The Accounting for Non-Accountants Series: Basic Accounting is a free online course that aims to teach accounting concepts and develop the accounting skills of Filipino professionals and small business owners. We believe that accounting is an indispensable life-skill that can be used not only in business but also in our personal lives. We deal with money on a daily basis. Having a basic accounting skill will give us flexibility on how we use money and provide us with an opportunity to make better business and financial decisions.

This course compressed basic accounting concepts and principles normally taught for a semester in school. Because of time and resource constraints, we only included important topics that will help us achieve our purpose, which is to develop your basic accounting skill. There are concepts left out in our discussion and you can always refer to a good accounting book to learn more about them. Rest assured, the concepts included in this course are more than enough for you to understand and practice your basic accounting skill.
